Welcome to the Village of Johnson City!

Johnson City is a friendly village, rich with history and character, surrounded by natural beauty. With a population of 15,000, we are conveniently located in the heart of Broome County, in the Southern Tier of New York State. Our village offers many attractions and conveniences along with an excellent school system and a variety of higher education opportunities nearby.

The historic arches that frame the east and west entrances to Johnson City declare our longstanding theme “Home of the Square Deal”.

Johnson City is now home to Binghamton University’s new School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Opening in the year 2020 adjacent to the School of Pharmacy will be Binghamton University’s new Decker School of Nursing. With these new schools and other developments in our community we are growing and have a very bright future.
